2024 is upon us and I don’t know about you, but one of the things that I usually do at the top of the year is I treat it like It’s a new world, and I’m gonna recreate everything that I’ve ever done and do it newly. And that’s not necessarily the case. It doesn’t need to happen to create my goals, and sometimes it actually causes more harm than good. Right? Starting from scratch. And so, what I want to share in this episode Is 3 things that I predict about 2024 to make sure that your social media is successful And it’s reflective of who you are. The 1st prediction that I have is actually not a surprise. It’s not a magic, key or anything like that. But that consistency is still going to be important.

And, you can create pa Great content, but if you do it inconsistently, it’s not gonna do nothing for you. It’s It’s the algorithm. It’s how people work. It’s reminding people that you’re still alive, that you’re still there, that you’re still doing things. It’s all of these Things that make consistency important for making sure that people remember who you are, what you do, and the transformation you provide. Now, consistency, if you find it difficult to attain, it’s two reasons. Right? Either, a, you don’t have a strategy, Or b, you don’t have processes to support the strategy. And so either way, when you were missing one of those things, What you end up with is last minute posting, being tired, being overwhelmed, and really not being able to be, quote, unquote, creative about what to create.

Tamay Shannon [00:02:17]:
So consistency is still important. Strategy and processes support consistency. If you are missing those 2 things, if you find yourself, always behind the 8 ball, so to speak, about being, being creating content, then those are the things that you’re missing. The second thing that I want to highlight is storytelling storytelling is going to be even more important Now, a lot of times when people say, oh, you’ve got to edutainment. You got to educate and entertain people at the same time. People immediately go to it’s got to be funny. It’s got to be jokes, and that’s not the case. Telling a story is entertaining even if that story isn’t funny.

Tamay Shannon [00:02:59]:
Right? So one of the things one of the story frameworks that you can use is the hero’s journey. Now, it’s gonna sound like I’m gonna share with I’m gonna share, you know, a little bit about the hero’s journey with you. It’s gonna sound like it’s a lot of steps and a huge story. But, literally, each of these different sets could be one sentence. So, in A Hero’s Journey, there’s 3 acts. And, in the first act, you have the world that you’re living in. What is it like now? I’m sitting in a room, and this is what I see. It’s that you’re creating the world for people to understand not Only what you see, but the mind state that you’re in.

And then you get a call to an adventure. And that can be Creating something, doing something, taking something on. And, typically, you then refuse that adventure. That is the 3rd step in the 1st act is you refuse that invitation to the adventure. And then, you get a mentor. That is the 4th and final step of Act 1 is you get a mentor. And this is typically if you’re a business owner, the mentor part is where you come in. So the hero’s journey is about your clients and the mentor is where you come in with your expertise and your talents.

Tamay Shannon [00:04:21]:
Act 2, there is the new world. So after the mentor comes in, you the heroes get are introduced to a whole new world, and then they’re tested. They are tested about something that’s important to them. They are tested about something that they really, really care about, and then they have the ordeal. So where they Fail or where they find is not working or they’re dealing with what’s important to them and how do they get through it. And then they have the triumph. That’s the 3rd step. And the 2nd act is the triumph where they win and they they put the tools to the test that you’ve taught them, And they’re ready to move forward.

Tamay Shannon [00:05:03]:
And then we have act 3, where now the hero, your client, Is journeying back to their world, to their old life, quote, unquote. And, they’re traveling back with the 2nd step Which is the new lesson. So they’re going back to that old world with the new lessons, the new tools that you taught them. And then, finally, they take that and really imbibe it and really have it be a part of their living. So, They now have the magic sauce, and they share the magic sauce. And so, that is the 3rd step in act 3. So I went through this really, really quickly for the hero’s journey, and this is just 1 framework that you can use to storytell. It’s gonna pop up, and that is a really great framework for you to use to tell about Your clients and how you support them in an interesting and entertaining way without it being funny. And, finally, My third prediction for 2024 is the impact of AI literacy. So we’re still in this stage of AI where it will get you ahead. It’s gonna refine your processes, make it easier for you to create, Make it easier for pull to for you to pull documents together. That’s the stage we’re in, where it’s going to get you ahead. If you refuse to learn AI, take on AI, what’s gonna happen is that now you won’t be able to keep up. So, it’s going to move from getting you ahead to not keeping up with everybody else. So, even though You might have qualms about it even though you might not wanna put certain things in it.

Tamay Shannon [00:06:54]:
That’s absolutely fine. The pie Look for ways that you can leverage AI in your business. It doesn’t have to be for creating social media content. It could be for running processes. It could be for writing emails to people. Whatever it is, look at ways that you can use it that you feel comfortable with it So that you don’t fall behind because that’s what’s gonna happen. And so I wouldn’t want that for you. And so 2024 Is the year that AI will really become, a foundational component of a lot of businesses, Not only in how they operate, but in how they process information.

Tamay Shannon [00:07:32]:
Those are my 3 predictions for 2024. Consistency is key. Storytelling is what’s gonna give you the edutainment and AI literacy is really what’s gonna Keep your business ahead and keep it up.
