#BlackFriday is coming

#BlackFriday is coming

It takes a lot to run a business. And sometimes you can feel like you’re missing out on all the opportunities because you wear so many hats. Sometimes you don’t know what to do.  I want to give you 3 actions you can take today to profit on #BlackFriday, #SmallBusinessSaturday, and #CyberMonday I’m going to call this the hashtag holiday.

Don’t want to discount.

  1. Maybe you are in a business where you don’t want to discount or it is not a part of your brand. The best way to take advantage of the hashtag holiday is to incorporate how your customers will be taking advantage of these days into how you reach out to them. Let’s say you are an insurance agent. You know that this is a big consumer weekend and a lot of new purchases will be made. You can send out a newsletter talking about those purchases and how you can help protect them. Or you can post on social about the opportunity for people to protect their new acquisitions.  Look for the intersection of how your business functions and how your ideal client will be participating in the hashtag holiday.

Can’t think of what to sell.

2. Sometimes, you don’t know how to package your services or products to actually make the hashtag holiday increase your sales.  What you want to focus on are the products you can easily ship or fulfill on.  The second thing you want to include are products that naturally lead people to connect with you further. Then create a small virtual catalog. What this looks like on Instagram is loading multiple images in one post so that users can swipe left to see all that you have to offer. You can also do the same on Facebook. If you want to share this on LinkedIn you should narrow down and focus on the products that help business owners increase their business.

Don’t think it’s relevant to your business

3.  This is where it becomes important to know your customer.  What is important to your customer and what are they doing? Your social should be reflective of their pain points and concerns and focus.  You can create a LinkedIn post or write an article  talking about the impact the hashtag holiday will have on your ideal customer. You can then create images using Canva or Adobe Spark.
